Apply to be on the EMS Committee!

Welcome to the website of EMRA's EMS Committee! The EMRA Board of Directors recently approved this new committee. With EMS being recognized as an official subspecialty of Emergency Medicine, EMRA members with an interest in a career in EMS, prehospital clinical work or research are strongly encouraged to join the committee. The new committee will also provide general resources and information about EMS for all EM residents. The committee will have its inaugural meeting at ACEP's Scientific Assembly 2012 where the following objectives will be discussed:

Add an overview article that covers the "Basics of EMS" to the website -Produce a pocket card: "Things You Need to Know Prior to Your EMS Ride-Along"
Provide resources for EMRA members on career opportunities in EMS
Guidebook: Certifying as an EMT-P during residency
