Meet Sandra Coker

We're pleased to introduce Sandra Coker, vice chair of the EMRA Diversity & Inclusion Committee, 2020-2021.

Sandra CokerProgram: McGovern Medical School at UTHealth

Your goal as an EMRA leader: My goal is to do what I can to make sure EMRA continues to be a community in which both physicians and medical students feel welcome and supported irrespective of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, beliefs, or values. I also hope to educate and engage the next generation of EMRA leaders in all things diversity and inclusion, so as to prepare them to create change in their own workplace.

What is something people don't know about you?
I love basketball, and I'm a huge LeBron fan.

Last non-textbook I read: "Song of Solomon" by Toni Morrison

What's on your playlist?
A whole bunch of trap music and gospel (yes, both lol)
