When Mohamed Hagahmed’s family fled their native Sudan, they became citizens of the world before settling eventually in Germany, where Dr. Hagahmed became a professional athlete before turning to medicine. As a medical student, he worked to counteract community violence. In residency, he led the Minority House Staff Association, and as an attending he is an SNMA faculty mentor. On shift and in class, his mission is to create an equitable world with opportunity for all.
