EMRA Travel Scholarship to ACEP EDDA (Emergency Department Director's Academy)

Resident / Fellow Opportunity

This scholarship assists emergency medicine residents and fellows in leadership or administration by providing recipients with the opportunity to attend the premier leadership development academy in emergency medicine. Recipients will learn from and network with the best and brightest minds in the field of Emergency Department management and leadership.

EMRA / ACEP Research Academy Scholarship

Student / Resident / Fellow Opportunity

Given to a resident, student, or fellow who has a demonstrated interest in a research career as an independent investigator. This scholarship promotes the involvement of trainees in research that supports the further development of the specialty of emergency medicine.

EMRA / EDPMA Scholarship

Resident / Fellow Opportunity

This scholarship provides an opportunity for resident and fellow leaders with an interest in the management and business issues involved in running a successful emergency medicine practice; to serve on a committee of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA), receive mentorship from EDPMA leaders, and attend their annual conference, the EDPMA Solutions Summit.

ACEP / CORD Teaching Fellowship Scholarship

Resident / Fellow Opportunity

This scholarship covers tuition for the ACEP / CORD Teaching Fellowship, an intensive course in faculty development. The scholarship is available to graduating residents, fellows, and alumni members who have completed residency within the past 5 years.

Augustine D'Orta Humanism Award

Provides a 4-week in-person experience centered out of ACEP's Washington, D.C., office that is an intensive, short-term policy curriculum providing meaningful advocacy exposure.

EMRA / ACEP Medical Student Elective in Health Policy

Student Opportunity

This course is reserved for 4th year medical students applying for EM residency programs with an interest in health policy. The 4-week course takes place in-person and may be taken as a research elective for credit.

This award recognizes a residency director who serves as a role model for residents and exemplifies those qualities residents value in a mentor.

Sherrill Mullenix Residency Coordinator of the Year

Residency Coordinator Opportunity

This award is given to the residency coordinator who regularly goes above and beyond the call of duty for the good of the program and its residents; supports resident endeavors in extracurricular activities like community service, research, etc.; and actively supports resident involvement in specialty organizations.

Associate Residency Director of the Year 

Associate/Assistant Residency Director Opportunity

This award recognizes an associate or assistant residency director who serves as a role model for residents and exemplifies those qualities residents value in a mentor.

Clinical Pathologic Case Conference (CPC)

EMRA supports the CORD CPC by presenting awards of $500 to the resident who is selected Best Presenter in the finals and $250 to the runner-up. The preliminary competition is held during CORD's Academic Assembly in the spring, and the final competition is held at ACEP's Scientific Assembly in the fall. 

EMRA / EMF Resident and Medical Student Research Grant

Student / Resident Opportunity

EMRA makes a $25,000 annual contribution to EMF in support of resident research. The grants are administered through EMF.
