The University of Kentucky is a 3-year, fully accredited Emergency Medicine residency training program, based at the A. B. Chandler Medical Center, and is approved for 12 residents per class. The most basic goal of residency education is to instruct physicians-in-training to practice in an unsupervised environment. Going several steps further, the University of Kentucky strives to train its residents to be outstanding practitioners.
