The UNC Emergency Medicine Residency Program was founded in 1994 by Dr. Judith Tintinalli, one of the most influential leaders of EM nationally. It is a 3 year ACGME accredited program with 10 residents per class.

Our program provides a mix of academic and community EM, including diverse faculty and clinical training sites at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC and Wake Med Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Learn more about the clinical training sites here.
