University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine

Since its inception in 1997, more than 1,000 physicians have graduated from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM), with 76 percent serving in primary care.
KYCOM has earned high marks in rural medicine, ranking 7th among all medical schools in the nation, both D.O. and M.D., in the U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of best medical schools for 2018.

KYCOM also ranked 12th in family medicine and second in the percentage of graduates who enter primary care residencies. KYCOM was the highest ranked D.O. medical school in rural medicine and family medicine.
