EMRA Spotlight, Informatics Committee

Meet Fran H. Riley, MD

We're pleased to introduce Fran H. Riley, MD, chair-elect of the EMRA Informatics Committee, 2020-2021.

Your goal as an EMRA leader: Get more people involved in informatics! Informatics is a goldmine of opportunity, and the good news is, it doesn't take a lot to get started. I would like to make informatics more approachable by showcasing more new project ideas that people can pick up. Additionally, I would like to help spread the word on existing projects that are looking for members. Lastly, with previous industry experience, I would like to help build connections to help both bring ideas to fruition.

Top 3 traits of a great leader:
1. Perceptive
2. Decisive
3. Energizing

If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: A chef. Or a gardener. Oh, ballerina!

Number of apps on my phone: Too many to count. Multiple pages.
