Your goal as an EMRA leader: Increase involvement in organized medicine, educate EM residents and medical students on sports medicine topics, create sports medicine resources for EM residents.

Why did you get involved in a professional society?
Somebody has to do it. Organized medicine is extremely important for not only physicians, but our patients as well. Having a leadership role in a professional society allows me to advocate for physicians and patients to our politicians and other leaders. It is also a great way to meet other physicians across the country leading to collaborations.

What is something people don't know about you? I can do the splits

What is the last non-textbook you read? Star Wars: Thrawn

Favorite life hack for night shifts: Lots of cold brew coffee

Your goal as an EMRA leader: I hope to grow as a leader, to positively impact EM resident involvement within the Sports Medicine community, and build connections with other leaders from around the country.

Why did you get involved in a professional society? To develop skills that I can use to continue community engagement and leadership roles throughout my career.

What is something people don't know about you? I have a miniature long haired wiener dog

If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: Chef

Favorite life hack for night shifts: Lots of snacks, coffee and energy drinks

Your goal as an EMRA leader: To learn something new from each outstanding leader I meet and form professional relationships that can grow going forward!

Why did you get involved in a professional society? Wanted to keep building leadership skills and learn from other great leaders. Also wanted to make a positive impact on the sports medicine committee and get to teach other about event medicine/sports medicine.

If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: Soccer Player/Coach

What's the last non-textbook you read? Talking to Strangers -Malcolm Gladwell

What's on your playlist? The Chainsmokers are my favorite!

Your goal as an EMRA leader: Increase interest and involvement in Sports Medicine among Emergency Medicine residents and develop engaging methods to help residents get involved with their local teams and sports clubs to see what sports medicine has to offer

Why did you get involved in a professional society? To help develop my own inherent leadership qualities and provide mentorship to those who are looking to get more involved

What is something people don't know about you? I have sung in a choir that performed internationally in New Zealand

If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: An actor or a teacher

Favorite life hack for night shifts: Pre-Shift Nap (Only 20-30 minutes max) or Midnight coffee for a morning push
