If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: Likely a high school science teacher--I considered it heavily in undergrad.

Did you pick up a new quarantine hobby? Home espresso making--I got a new machine and grinder and I am cranking out drinks all day long now.

What's the last non-textbook you read? Project Hail Mary--I have been on a long Sci-Fi kick. It is a space traveling, alien contacting, science-y story that is funny and smart.

Your goal as an EMRA leader: My goal is to work with members of the EMRA community to provide critical care career resources and create educational materials for medical students and residents. I look forward to collaborating with the EMRA community to create connections across all levels of training to improve critical care education and mentorship.

Favorite life hack for night shifts: Early shift caffeine bolus followed by a mid shift snack. Play music at your computer during the shift. Then, go home to sleep in a cold, dark, and quiet room. Finally, and most importantly, try to do something normal that day and catch a glimpse of the sun.

What's on your playlist? A bit of everything including St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Lake Street Dive, Ripe, Tom Misch, Surfaces, The Dip, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, CCR, and Billy Joel
