Your goal as an EMRA leader: : It is difficult to overstate the importance of evidence-based medicine in improving best practice. My goals as a leader of the Research Committee include fostering interest in EM Research early in the careers of residents and EM-bound medical students, working to make involvement more accessible, and developing members' skills in critical research review. Whenever we are successful in these goals we benefit our colleagues, our patients, and the specialty of Emergency Medicine as a whole.
If I weren't an emergency physician, I would be: Probably a wildlife biologist national park ranger international aid worker travel writer forester chef photographer and part-time caretaker of a remote island.

Your goal as an EMRA leader: My goal as an EMRA leader is to facilitate EM resident involvement and exposure to research to prepare future EM physician-scientists.
