Dara Kass, MD, FACEP (@darakass) is the founder of FemInEM, need we say more? Dr. Kass created feminem.org to advocate for and recognize women in Emergency Medicine and create a community to discuss gender equality in medicine. Since its inception, FemInEM has expanded to include a robust blog, podcast, speaker’s bureau, and conference, the FemInEM Idea Exchange (FIX). Dr. Kass is an Assistant Clinical Professor of EM at Columbia and serves as the Director for Equity and Inclusion for the ED.
Over 400 applications were reviewed by the selection committee, comprised of Steven J. Stack, MD, MBA, FACEP, Zach Jarou, MD, Omar Z. Maniya, MD, MBA, Hannah Hughes, MD, MBA, Ven Subramanyam, MD, Erin Karl, MD, and Jazmyn Shaw.
