Michael David April, MD, PhD, MSc, FACEP

Michael David April, MD, PhD, MSc, FACEP, is a 2005 graduate of West Point and Rhodes Scholar. Dr. April earned his PhD in Public Health from the University of Oxford, MD from Harvard Medical School, and completed his training in Emergency Medicine at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium.

He has since served as Medical Director for the DOD's only Level 1 trauma center at San Antonio Military Medical Center and Associated Program Director for the DOD's largest Emergency Medicine Residency.

Over 400 applications were reviewed by the selection committee, comprised of Steven J. Stack, MD, MBA, FACEP, Zach Jarou, MD, Omar Z. Maniya, MD, MBA, Hannah Hughes, MD, MBA, Ven Subramanyam, MD, Erin Karl, MD, and Jazmyn Shaw.
